Carlsberg Beer

Packaging of the Month was taken from an article written by Andrew Gibbs in the July issue of Entrepreneur Magazine.

WHO: New York-based collective Safari Sundays was tasked with crafting a brand identity that would create desirability for a premium edition of Carlsberg Beer.

WHAT: Inspired by Polaris (aka the North Star), a variety of hops used in the beer, Safari Sundays created a punchy name, Nox, and a bold, dark look. Nox bottles feature embossed black glass with glossy labels and metallic accents. It’s a dramatic departure fro the classic Danish beer brand.

WHY WE LOVE IT: The constellation-inspired design and forest-green flourishes, reminiscent of the northern lights, feel true to Carlsberg’s Nordic roots. The bottle tells a story of navigation, creating a youthful sense of potential and mystery that is in line with Carlsberg’s creation of Nox as a sophisticated beer for “nighttime experiences.”
